I love the new wallets from the money-savvy ladies at Learning Cents. (We reviewed their bank in the spring.) The wallets have just been released on the website today. In relation to the other kids’ wallets I’ve seen (and as I teacher I see several on my classroom closet floor every day, usually with holes in them and money falling out) this one is incredibly well made. It’s a tri-fold that closes with a velcro strip that runs the whole width of the closure so it’s very secure, and there’s a sturdy carabiner attached so that when pockets are full of rocks, frogs and other finds the wallet can be attached to coats, belt loops or backpacks. The carabiner is attached to the wallet via a metal grommet so the wallet won’t rip. Obviously these women have real children who wreck stuff. This is one smart design! There’s a zipper pouch for coins inside and plenty of pockets for cards of all kinds as well as an ID card in a see through window just like an adult wallet.
